Stephen Spielberg recently resigned from his position of Artistic Advisor to the Olympics because he did not agree with Beijing's policies on Darfur.

Some athletes feel that their right to free speech should not be curtailed by being prohibited from making political comments or taking part in demonstrations during the Olympics in Beijing. Others think that sport and politics should remain separate.
