I have been a Broadband Phone (aka VOIP) customer for about 3 years now. I have tried just about every Broadband Phone Company available, except a few of the cable companies. Some have just downright failed and I mean miserably. I was a Lingo customer for almost 6 months and the reliability was horrible. Most of the time when I would call someone or vice versa I would sound to them like I was in a tin-can. So I tried a few others like Packet8, they were pretty reliable but I had some billing issues with them and well I did not stay as a customer. Then there was this one Voip company. I think they were called Telphin, WOW what a piece of crap company. Took 3 months to get a local phone number even after they told me yea no problem we have numbers in your area. Then the call quality was miserable. I drop them fast, no way I was paying for service like that.

Now it brings me to Vonage (and no Vonage is not paying me) I have had their service for over a year now and I have to say I love it. The quality is excellent, it is the most reliable of all the Broadband phone companies I have tried. My only problem is their customer service, they outsource all of their calls and well it is very difficult to understand the representatives. As far as Broadband Phone companies Vonage is in my book the best. I recommend them to my friends and family. I just hope they are around for many years to come.
